Telethon 2014

Thank you Western Australia!

Telethon smashed its fundraising record in 2014, raising an incredible $25,271,542.

In the 47 years it has been running, Telethon has raised more than $180 million.

My family and I had the pleasure of meeting this year's Telethon stars, Emily and Patrick. Plus, numerous Channel 7 personalities.

Congratulations Telethon for another fabulous year. Enjoy the happy snaps!

'Kiss From Chris' - 2004

In 2004 I had the pleasure of becoming the Telethon Child for Perth, Western Australia. 

Each year, personalities from the Seven Network, along with the best Australian talent are booking their flights to Perth to take part in Australia’s biggest annual Telethon and help the people of Western Australia raise money for the kids. The 26-hour show is broadcast on Channel Seven and GWN7 throughout Western Australia. A huge variety of events and activities take place over Telethon Weekend at the "home" of Telethon, Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre and across Perth at other Telethon locations. SOURCE.

Telethon Kids Institute Launch 2014

The new Telethon Kids Institute reflects a commitment made to strategically create a new blueprint for a research institute – a new way of working, a new way of engaging with the community, a new way of translating our research to make a real difference.

Variety Youth Choir 15th Anniversary Concert

An enthusiastic crowd of nearly 300 people enjoyed a night of entertainment at the Variety Youth Choir 15th Anniversary Concert last Sunday, 9 March. The Quarry Amphitheatre provided the perfect venue for the celebration concert, which featured performances from Beccy Cole, Courtney Murphy, Dean Denton (The Frames), past Choir members and of course, the Variety Youth Choir, proudly sponsored by Killarnee. Many thanks to all those involved behind the scenes, in particular our concert donors, Mark Whately and Denise DeMarchi, the Brooker Family, Alan and Michelle Linney, Jayne and Anthony Begley and of course Killarnee – who all made the event possible!
